Headteacher Helen Campbell talks to Steve Hawker and Gareth Churcher from Cornwall Music Hub about the impact of the Open School’s orchestra and music teaching at Pencalenick. Please see below video

A huge thank you to all our parents and carers that came last week and attended our Open Day. The weather was bright and the mood was to match as the pride of our students shone through. Just some of the comments below:

" We couldn't be happier with how our son has settled into school. We are so very grateful to everyone for all they do"

"Excellent as always. Such enthusiastic, dedicated staff. We feel very lucky that my child is able to attend this school"

"What a fantastic afternoon! Can't thank you all enough! I could easily see how confident and comfortable my young man was in and around school and the lack of his communication posed no barrier at all. Fab! Thank you!"

Welcome to our school

Together Everyone Achieves More
We provide special education for 120 pupils from Year 5 to Year 11 who have been identified through their Education Health Care Plan as being in need of a specialist provision due to their complex learning difficulties, associated anxieties and social needs. Our catchment area is the whole of Cornwall. We are able to offer weekly or short-term boarding places; a feature of our school that extends the range of our education programmes.

We are proud to be a member of the Special Partnership Trust, an ambitious and inspiring collaboration of specialist provision in Cornwall, with a focus on excellence in learning for everyone. We are formed to ensure that every child, irrespective of need or location, gets the best learning opportunities possible. We believe in providing challenge and support in equal measure to our pupils, nurturing the talents and skills of all learners.
