On Wednesday 8th March the second annual performance of Pencalenick's Got More Talent took place.
There were fifteen superb acts showcasing the fantastic range of talents that our pupils have. They included singing, dancing, jokes, storytelling, yo-yo and diablo demonstrations, guitar playing and stand up comedy.
An audience of Pencalenick pupils, staff, and parents of the performers thoroughly enjoyed the show.
Our panel of judges included Mr Andy Barnett, CEO of the Special Partnership Multi Academy Trust (MAT), Mrs Tracey Allen, Clerk to the MAT, Mrs Janet Brierley, Literacy Governor, and Mr Mike Brothers, the school chef!
The standard of entries was so high it was hard to choose but in the end the results were:
1st place - Toby Wright singing
2nd place - Josh Holten storytelling
3rd place - Kieran Hewitt demonstrating yo-yo and diablo skills
The inaugural 'People's Choice' award, which is voted on by the whole school community, was won by Kyle Rowe for his excellent stand-up comedy act.
I would like to thank all the competitors, all those who auditioned, and everyone else who helped and attended on the day.
If your son or daughter wants to try for next year, please do encourage them! We still have so much talent left to discover!
