Staff Vacancies

Pencalenick School is part of the Special Partnership Trust.

The school is located on a beautiful site on the edge of Truro. We have a positive ethos that focusses on aspiration, care, challenge, and quality in everything we do. Pupils, parents, and staff work together at Pencalenick to make sure that school life is enriching and memorable, preparing pupils to lead full, active, and productive lives.

We concentrate on what our pupils can achieve and set high expectations for both academic success and social development. Our learning programmes are pupil-focused, flexible, innovative, and always based on relationships built on mutual respect and care. Our dedicated staff team brings a variety of skills and experience, and they receive ongoing professional development support from the school and the SPT.

We ensure all pupils have access to the National Curriculum based on their individual needs. Our curriculum is designed to provide a wide range of enrichment opportunities and clear pathways to suitable qualifications for each pupil, including ASDAN, entry-level qualifications, functional skills, and GCSEs. Every pupil at the school has an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), which means it is crucial for them to receive the right support to help them make progress towards the goals outlined in their plan. We achieve this by providing the appropriate special educational needs (SEN) support to help them succeed in their learning.

Pencalenick pupils also have the chance to benefit from our boarding provision, which supports the development of their life skills, independence, and social interactions.
