Pencalenick School- Catering Assistant
About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to join our school’s catering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing nutritious and appealing meals to our students and staff, supporting the smooth running of the kitchen and dining areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in line with dietary requirements and school policies
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
- Assist with food stock management and storage
- Support lunchtime supervision and help create a positive dining experience for pupils
- Always follow health and safety regulations
- Work as part of a team to ensure efficient catering operations
Person Specification:
- Experience in a catering or food service role is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
- Friendly and approachable manner, with good rapport with children and staff
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible to the needs of the school
- Commitment to maintaining food hygiene and safety standards
