The Food curriculum has been designed to build independence and a love of cooking in all our students. We cook mainly savoury dishes whilst investigating aspects of nutrition and health. Students are expected to become competent in a range of cooking techniques, learning how to minimise risk and use potentially dangerous equipment safely. Awareness of sources, seasons and qualities of ingredients will be nurtured allowing students to gain confidence in their own choices. We hope everyone will cook many healthy and varied meals and gain a lifelong joy of cooking.
