Your Views

We invite all parents to send us their feedback on Pencalenick School by using Parent View online questionnaire: please visit the Parent View site at

The short online survey allows parents and carers to give their views on their child’s school at any time of the year.   It has been produced with the assistance of a panel of parents and covers a range of topics that parents told Ofsted are the most important to them, including quality of teaching, bullying, behaviour and levels of homework. The questionnaire does not allow free text comments but invites responses to a series of closed questions.   The results for each school will be published on the website in real time.

Your feedback will be anonymous and please note a straight-forward registration process requiring an email address has been put in place to help ensure the security of the website and prevent misuse.

2016 Parental Questionnaire

We ran a parental questionnaire in early 2016 to gain feedback from parents.  We received 50 completed responses and overall the feedback was extremely positive.

Key points highlighted:

  • The environment provided is safe and parents felt their children were both valued and respected.
  • Parents value the creative approach to the curriculum which enables their children to achieve their potential.
  • Parents appreciated the detailed reports that they receive concerning their child's progress and equally the Annual Review is highly valued with regards to their child's overall development.
Considerations for development:
  • Parents would like more opportunities for families to attend events held in school to enable socialising between parents and pupils.
  • Whilst parents acknowledge the quality of the reports, they would appreciate information more frequently.
On the back of these findings, various initiatives have been launched:
  • Regular coffee mornings and workshops for parents with outside speakers.
  • Twitter feed on website with frequent updates on pupil activities with photos.
