World Book Day aims to change lives through a love of books and reading. They are a charity that operates in the UK and Ireland.  The mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own. Designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, World Book Day is marked in over 100 countries around the globe.

We will be joining in the fun on Thursday 2nd March by giving out book tokens and enjoying some adventurous activities based on our favourite stories. As part of the celebrations of the day, students are welcome to wear homemade costumes of their favourite book characters. This is optional and please do not feel it necessary to buy anything just for the day.
