Care Team at Pencalenick
Most of my career has been spent working in residential care, across a variety of settings and with clients of all ages and needs—from children’s units in special hospitals to adult care homes for people with dementia, and everything in between. I hold a BA (Hons) in Psychology and relocated to Cornwall from London many years ago.
As Head of Care, my role is to support the care team in delivering a high-quality residential service, to develop and expand the provision, and to ensure we offer an innovative approach that meets the needs of young people with a diverse range of requirements. I am passionate about residential care in general, and our provision in particular. Pupils are supported to develop independence, build friendships, and, most importantly, enjoy themselves. Every day brings something positive—whether it’s a new skill learnt, a kind action shared, or a moment of laughter—and it is inspiring to see our pupils embrace each other’s differences with tolerance and acceptance.
I am extremely proud to work at Pencalenick. Our staff work tirelessly and creatively every day to ensure every pupil receives the education, care, and opportunities they need and deserve.
We have a strong team of dedicated professionals in our after hours residential team. Please meet our team:
