Port Quin
Port Quin is a class of pupils all of whom are on bespoke timetables to meet their individual needs. All pupils are based either in the main Port Quin class or in their own learning spaces, with access a variety of lessons and interventions with other tutor groups around the school.
Port Quin pupils have mixed abilities. Some are learning to learn, others are following academic pathways including Entry Level, Functional Skills and GCSE. As well as academic outcomes, we focus a great deal on EHCP outcomes, social skills, and preparation for adulthood.
There are a mix of KS3 and KS4 pupils in Port Quin and we have a high ratio of staff to pupils (7:10) to support individual needs. Our day varies and includes a mix of academic learning, sensory breaks, social time and individual interventions.
