Trerice is a KS4 group for higher ability learners, where pupils follow academic pathways including Functional Skills and Entry Level.  Pupils in this group have the ability to work independently, but their social and emotional barriers to learning lead to issues with self-confidence and anxiety.  As well as academic outcomes, there is a strong focus on personal development with regard to life skills, independence and building social and emotional resilience.

 

 

 

There are 12 pupils in Trerice, a mix of Year 10s and Year 11s.  The pupils are supported by their teacher and three Learning Mentors. The day is structured into focused learning time, social time and a sensory movement break in the form of a daily mile or time on the bikes/Go-Karts.
